Returns & Exchanges

The U.S. Capitol Visitor Center Gift Shop sells only high quality merchandise made by American businesses and manufacturers. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied, you may return or exchange your purchase within 90 days from the date you received your order.  


Items must be unused, unworn and in their original packaging. Custom products, including personalized items, framed documents and perishable goods, are not returnable.


To initiate a return, please contact Customer Service at [email protected] and include your order number.  Customer Service will respond to your email within 1-2 business days. Returns are typically processed within 3 business days from our receipt of your item. 


Refunds will be issued in the original form of payment for the amount of the returned merchandise. Shipping and handling fees are not refundable. 


If you have requested an exchange, your new order will be shipped within 1-2 business days of our receipt of the original merchandise.  Customer Service will email a copy of your updated order along with a tracking number for the new shipment. 

Damaged Shipments:

If your order arrives damaged, please contact Customer Service as soon as possible at [email protected] and include your order number. Please keep the damaged merchandise and the original shipping materials.  Customer Service will offer a prompt replacement of the item(s) or a refund.
